Kerala, late 1950s. Krishnan Pillai is known more for getting into trouble than taking politics seriously. The Church picks him to head the Christopher Sena, a group formed to stand against the Communist government. He goes along with it, but what he sees along the way starts changing his mind. Then he meets a comrade and falls for her. Before long, Krishnan is no longer fighting the battle he was recruited for. He has begun questioning the old feudal order and the people who benefit from it.
